Designed for adventure the Polaris Nexus Ride Short takes its name from the famous original Polaris Nexus Short developed back in 2004. The Nexus name became synonymous with cycle touring for its comfort and functionality. This year we launch our Challenge Collection designed in line with some of the world's most exciting and passionate advocates for adventure by bike. These include Tom Allen, Tom Bruce and Tegan Phillips. The Nexus short is made of a high-quality Calvico blend fabric that maintains excellent fit even through prolonged periods in the saddle which is essential to cycling long distances. For assured comfort there is also an Italian branded TMF gender specific tailored chamois. The Nexus ride shorts also feature a deep silicon gripper to ensure the shorts stay true in place without riding up or marking legs. From extensive research, it was discovered that poor gripper can be one of the main irritants after prolonged time in the saddle the Nexus are designed to overcome this. Storage is also catered for on the Nexus Ride Short. There is a zip fastening pocket at the rear for key valuables as well as two power mesh side pockets on the legs. These are ideal for storing wrappers/food or items you need to access easily. To ensure visibility in all lights when riding there is also relective tape to the rear and side seams to make sure you can be seen on the roads if you end up out after the sun has gone down.

Good shorts with a great pocket. October 28, 2017
Reviewer: jane from cumbria, uk
Used these every day for four months off and on road trip through the heat of a European heatwave 2017.
Im a pretty hefty rider and never get legs to fit and the 16 fitted and felt comfortable. If you have skinny thighs, they might even be too big. Pocket on the thigh is very useful, and big enough for popping a ride book, a guide book, or your wallet if going shopping or gps or your phone in. Never lost anything from it.  The little waist pocket on the back though is tiny. And useless.
They have worn very well, just a bit of fluffing up on rub areas.
The fabric is super-light and the pad pretty comfortable for 10 hours in the saddle, though the pad on the women's drop seat bibs is more comfy and the shorts also dry faster.legs are still elastic enough too after 100 or more washes.
