When choosing your lighting options keep in mind your journey, duration and visibility. Key things to remember are:

  • Quality vs Value; Polaris lights have been designed to keep you safe and seen on your journey, we have tried to keep our price points spread enough to enable even the most budgeted cyclist a great lighting option but of course the quality, build and longevity of the higher end lights will last you much longer.
  • Lumens Matter; Take your time and research the correct Lumen count you need on your usual ride. Seasons, Weather and Enviromental factors such as ride location (Urban vs Natural) all play a big part in what light will be best for you.
  • Dazzled; Positioning lights to get the best view ahead is paramount but these placements may not be best for your fellow walkers, cyclists and commuters.
  • Gone In A Flash; Various models of lighting can preserve battery life by working at a non-full beam or even flashing for the on road journeys. This will come in handy when heading out in the longer cold journeys increasing the longevity.
